Species, size and temperament help owners judge whether an introduction is worth trying. Profile context, not a matching algorithm.

Pet owners often rely on neighbourhood groups, chance encounters or general social platforms to find local playmates. PawPal explores whether a dedicated pet-social experience can make introductions and meetup coordination feel easier, lower-pressure and more relevant to the pet.
Species, size and temperament help owners judge whether an introduction is worth trying. Profile context, not a matching algorithm.
Local discovery could make spontaneous or repeat meetups more realistic. Neighbourhood density still needs evidence.
Wave, messaging and RSVP create a proposed path from discovery to an offline meetup.
One connected social loop, with the pet at the centre.

Species, breed, age, size and temperament give profiles context beyond a photo. The direction is explainable compatibility; a full matching engine is not implemented.
A small greeting is intentionally lower-pressure than an unsolicited message. It makes the interaction feel more pet-social and less dating-like. Whether it improves comfort still needs testing.
Discovery should communicate neighbourhood-scale proximity, not home addresses. This is a production design principle to validate, not a fully implemented privacy system.
First meetings should favour public, pet-friendly places over private locations. This is a coordination direction, not proof of a safety system or safer outcomes.
The social loop is only part of the work. Trust, permissions and useful local inventory need deliberate design.

Current prototype: browser-based interactive simulation designed to reproduce native iOS interaction patterns.
Authentication, real-time messaging, location / map services, notifications, moderation and persistence would need production implementation. They are not current infrastructure claims.
PawPal tests a simple product idea: local pet discovery becomes more useful when profiles, introductions and meetup coordination are designed as one connected social loop.
